How-To Guides for Fire Service Recruiters

Head to the Jobs page and click the "Apply for Recruiter Access" button, or go directly to the Recruiter Sign-Up page.

Fill in your Fire & Rescue Service name (e.g. "London Fire Brigade"), your contact name, and a short message about why you'd like to list vacancies.

If you don't already have an account, you'll also set your email and password here. Use your work email address (e.g. you@service.gov.uk) so we can verify you quickly.

After submitting the form, we'll send a 6-digit verification code to your email. Enter it on the next screen to confirm your address.

Didn't get the code? Click "Resend" and check your spam folder.

Once verified, your application is sent to our admin team for review. You'll see a confirmation message and receive an email confirming we've got your request.

Until you're approved, your account will appear as a standard member — so you can still save jobs, comment and join in. Applications are usually reviewed within 1–2 working days, and you'll get an email the moment you're approved. No further setup needed.

When your approval email arrives, simply log in with the email and password you set up. You'll be taken straight to your Recruiter Portal where you can start posting vacancies immediately.

Once logged in, you'll land on your Recruiter Portal — starting out empty with zero vacancies, views, and followers. From here you can edit your profile, add your first vacancy, and track engagement as candidates find your roles.
