Have Your Say on Avon's Future Fire Plans
Avon Fire & Rescue Service is urging communities across the West Country to speak up β with less than two weeks left to shape how the Service plans to prevent, protect against, and respond to risks through to 2033.
The public consultation closes on Tuesday 29 September and feeds directly into the Service's next Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), covering the period from 2028 to 2033.
The survey is open to anyone who lives, works, studies, or travels across:
Bristol
Bath and North East Somerset
North Somerset
South Gloucestershire

What Risks Matter Most to You?
The Service wants to understand what concerns communities most β from familiar threats like fires and road traffic collisions to emerging challenges including:
Flooding and water safety
E-bike and lithium-ion battery fires
Supporting vulnerable people
Area Manager Steve Quinton said:
"There are just two weeks left for people to tell us what risks they are concerned about and what they think we should be considering as we plan for the future.
"We want to hear from as many people as possible because the risks facing our communities can vary considerably. Your views will help us build a better understanding of those risks alongside our operational data and professional knowledge.
"If you haven't taken part yet, please take a few minutes to complete the survey before it closes on 29 September."
What Happens Next?
Responses will be analysed during October, informing the next stage of CRMP development. Further opportunities to have your say will follow, including consultation on the Service's finances and draft objectives for the plan.

The survey closes on Tuesday 29 September 2026. Complete the survey here
